did you do any of these preventative procedure before and during your install?

  • was the gap the same on all plugs?
  • are they gap-(able)?
  • are your plugs connected in the right order and on securely?
  • are your plugs properly tightened?(not loose or overtightened)

Also add to that list:
  • Are the plug wires securely fastened to the spark plugs?

what about the cap have you checked it?
As in a distributor cap? [confused]

Check and make sure the wires are securely attached to the plugs. Make sure they are in the correct order to the coil. What kind of plugs and wires did you go with out of curiousity? how long did it start missing after you put them on there?

I gaped them at .050. That's what they told me at Auto Zone. I'm a reposession agent so I haven't had the time to check em. I need to know the firing order and the correct gaping for a 01-02 2.0 zeteck duel over head cam. Thanks.

I put the ford Motrocraft plugs and autolite wires. It started missing as soon as I put them in. It idles fine and it seems like I got some power back but like I said, it misses when I get in on the gas.
