hello,

I am adding a CB radio to my Focus (06 ZX3) and am wondering one if anyone else has one in their Focus, and two where (other then a magnet) and how you mounted your antenna?

Thank you.

i hate the say it but the only way that would look nice is if u get a small cb antenna and put it somewhere where it dont stick out like a sore thumb. unless u want the big antenna then u should tint ur windows real dark so no one can see u

You could use a s-mount bracket connected to a fender bolt so it would mount out over the front fender. Or drill a hole in the hatch area and do the same and mount it above the bumper just to the side of the hatch. The best way I think is to get a roof rack and make a mount to mount it there and put a swivel on it so you could lay it down when needed.

Just asking...why?
for a few reasons, i drive different places and it is nice to have it to be able to talk to other people and get info about road conditions and such, i also caravan with frinds camping and i used to drive my truck but am going to slow down on that and they all have them and we talk on the way, there are times when i am out of cell range and want to be able to get help if needed, it also has weather stations on it.

ok just so you know CB antennas are the most important part of a cb radio without a good antenna the whole system is worthless. and why would i care if people can see me, i dont know them why do i care what they think?

not the fender but on the hatch the s braket might work, but i dont want to drill holes through the hatch. are there roof racks out there that you can only use one of the mounts and have it stay? or do they need both sides to squeeze from the other side to get it to hold on.
