I'll preface this by saying that if I am beating a dead horse, please refer me to the thread I need to go to and lock this. I'm new here [
]
Anyway...
My next mod that I have on the books is looking like it is going to be a downpipe. Right now I am leaning towards a catted one for piece of mind knowing that it will improve my performance and remain street legal without having to worry about inspections and any goofy odors.
I would like to get a catless, for the extra amount of performance and sound. I am hesitant on this because I'm worried about getting the car inspected every year as well as the exhaust smell from sitting in traffic.
Can the inspection issues be tuned out of the car (non-visual inspection state)? And how pronounced is the exhaust smell?
I have a 2014 ST3 and I live in Louisiana. As far as I know, Louisiana only requires a walk-around for lights and an OBD2 scan for codes.
As a side note, will a 3" downpipe adapt to the stock exhaust?
Thanks guys!
