Hey guys,

I have a 2004 SVTF with a Roush turbo setup. My problem is that the car will sputter and/or die if I come to a sudden stop. I have replaced the alternator, cleaned the IACV, new plugs/wires, new vacuum hoses, and oxygen sensors. I can't figure out what the hell it is. Any suggestions?

Are you positive there are no vacuum leaks? Sounds like a brake booster/vacuum leak

Check your PCV hose -- if it is collapsed or is collapsing, this can cause the car to stall...

While your doing that, check the pcv valve itself too. It should rattle when shaken

Ok...So I have replaced all of the vacuum lines and PCV valve and I am still having the problem. Any other thoughts? No codes are being thrown.

Did you replace the PCV hose as well -- or at least take a look at it. They tend to collapse; the stock ones fail due to heat/time and are no longer ridged to stay open.

I replaced that one as well. The other was still in good condition but I just wanted to be sure.

Have you looked at engine operation at all to try & confirm IAC operation?

Such as whether it does the normal high idle cold then drops to a normal idle as it warms up, & whether idle stays stable when A/C load is on?

Intake couplers are an SVT specific area to investigate for vacuum leaks, and a turbo setup puts more pressure on them.
