When I am at a traffic light or in park the idle low and the battery light comes on then I put it in neutral and give some gas then the rpm's go all the way to 3000-4000 and will not come back down unless I turn off the engine. I took it to Dealer but without a code and it not doing the same thing for them they couldn't help. It has done this four times in the past two months. If I remove/replace the battery cable its fine. Any ideas?

I have did the following in the past three months:

fuel filter (dealer)
fuel injection cleaning (dealer)
PVC valve and tube (dealer)
spark plugs (auto zone)
air filter (auto zone)

I had battery and alternator tested at dealer and both were fine.

sounds like a alternator problem to me 2. even though they test them, does not mean they are good. sometimes under load they act up. i would have it checked again
