My car cut off while I was driving. Everything works but doesn't even make a sound whe I turn the key

Yes I am getting the ------ on the odo. What does this mean?
I had the starter checked and it's fine.

The dashes mean a loss of power/ground to the PCM.

The most common cause is a problem with a small ground wire from the harness to the battery, and that's the easiest one to check.

There is a small wire that goes to or beside the batt , I dont remember the color if this wire comes loose you will get the ------- , there is also a black fuse ( 2 of then side by side ) in the fuse box under the hood , swap these 2 with the key off and out of the ignition , then see if the ------- goes away

As long as the -------- is there the engine will not turn over , this is part of the PATS system
