It's 3 weeks old today, 1500 miles, no mods what-so-ever... So the thoughts of CAI or other mods causing this will hopefully be put to rest. I've done nothing to it yet but drive it, besides the flash the day after I bought the car.
I was in the turn lane, looking for a hole in the morning traffic so I could shoot into the parking lot at work. Had driven up the interstate for about 20 minutes, so it was at normal temps and all. I crossed two lanes and hit the brakes to avoid scrubbing the nose of the car pulling into the parking lot, and it died just as I pushed in the clutch and hit the brakes. Luckily I didn't panic, and luckily it fired right back up, or I would have been t-boned in a few more seconds.
It's the only time it has done it, but that was more than I needed. That could be dangerous in the wrong situation, like today. When it restarted, it acted like it hadn't run all morning. High-idle kicked in for a few secs before slowing to normal, and the doorlocks clicked, even though I had not turned it completely to "off" before cranking it... hell I didn't have time! The instrument cluster lit up like it had been turned off, I wonder if this isn't some kind of short somewhere.
I'm going to call SVT in a few minutes, see what they say about it.
