yes youll have issues...yes youll need to roll the shit outta the fenders...

id run an 8.5 and a weird offset and see what happens.

ive mounted a 15x7.5 rota with a 45mm offset to the rear of my car and it was SO CLOSE to rubbing I couldent imagine anything wider ever working right.

When I had my 18s I could tell that there was room for about 1" more wheel on the outside (i.e. a 18"x8.5"). That said, there is also room to go on the inside too, so a 9" wide wheel may not work.

ya i have 18x7.5 enkei evo 5's right now with 1.6 degrees negative camber and i have a lot of room i can def. see fitting a 8.5 in there but 9 was questionable

not seeing why you'd want wider wheels on the back of a fwd car...

but that's a whole different debate. anyways, idk much about this topic...but i do know i've never seen anyone post anything about having rims that wide...so that may say a little something.

thing you gotta worry about when playing with offset is keeping your steering feel. a lot of times you can get a floaty feeling in the steering wheel playing with the offset too much.
