As I mentioned in another post, the standard SYNC radio in the 2012 Ford Focus HB is not very good as far as sound quality goes. I would at least like some low end. Is it possible to install a subwoofer?

Yes, you can install a subwoofer in pretty much any car. If you want to keep your factory head unit, you'll have to look at some high-to-lower signal converters, since you don't have pre-amp outputs. From there it's just about getting the amp, sub, and of course box that you want, as well as the necessary wiring.

Yes you can i recommend getting a LOC. preferably the MTX re-q.
You have to split a couple wires behind the factory headunit but besides that and running power to the Re-q its easy as pie. I installed one on my friends 2010 mazda 3 so he wouldnt need a head unit.

Has anyone done it yet?

So, has anyone actually gutted/modified the 2012 stock stereos yet? Or is it all talk? I want to see some results! I plan to swap the stock subwoofer with aftermarket subs, but I would like to skip some trial and error if possible!
