so whats the news on them svt cams that i read about

Not yet. We will be at the PRI show today and tomorrow. We will talk to Catcams today or tomorrow. We will let you know what happens.

In case anyone isn't aware, Cat Cams already manufactures turbo grind cams for the ST170, which is the same as the SVT. The only reason that nothing may come of this is lack of demand; the product offering is already there.

We talked to the Cat Cams at the PRI show. They noted it takes about 3 weeks for them to make the camshafts. It looks like we should be able to offer their product. If everything goes well, we should be offering their product. We will post of something later once we have more information.

I also know that cosworth has made st170 cams, but they are way too expensive, and u can only get them in Europe, for obvious reasons.

well I know others who have cammed all motor cars and cams did wonders!! what would ppl think if you pulled up next to them in your SVT and they hear something a little like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdGjJz0r-ic

and would the VCT still work with these new cams or would you have to disable it? And, how come ford didnt do the VCT to the exhaust side?!?! i think thats a bunch of BS

VCT was put on the exhaust side in the ZX2, Cougar, Contour, & Mystique platforms. Basically its a stock Zetec without the EGR system.

If Ford had put VCT on both sides of the SVT I'd say it would prolly be putting out around 200hp or just a better off the line torque curve.

is there a way of having the exhaust side VCT?
and is there a way of adjusting the VCT on stock camshafts?
