I'm doing a build up on my motor centered around the cams and a reman head (I'm also porting and polishing it). I'm leaning towards Comp Cams mild ground b/c there will be no piston interferance (so I'm told). Dose anyone have any experiance with the clearences with the Zetec? Can I go with the mid grind with no problems? How dose the OEM valve train do with the new cams? What gains have people seen?

I'm sure I can find it but, whats the compression ratio on a stock Zetec?

You'll just have to measure the gaps for the buckets. Valve to piston clearance shouldn't be an issue.

The stock CR is 9.6 to 1.

I've seen Comp 2's make 154whp/146wtq.
