Ok, so I tried to search this on the forum and didn't come up with anything concrete to answer my question. Is there anyway at all to completely bypass or disable the PATS system? I lost my keys and I have biometric scanner interfaces I'm just going to use for the ignition. I don't wanna pay to get a key made and strap it to the PATS receiver next to the tumbler, I want to completely disable the system. I have heard that you can get a PATS disabled ecu but i really don't wanna do that, Unless there's a way to disable it in the ECU myself. Also if anyway knows how to remove the wheel lock, I'd like to know how to do that soon. I would appreciate and help. Thanks.

No, lol, didn't steal it. Just lost my keys. I got some extra biometric thumb scanners from work that I have to play with and I want to eliminate the whole keyed system for the ignition and use the thumb scanner for ignition. I though it would be kinda fun. But to do that, I need to remove the wheel lock without the key. Damn getting drunk on the beach and losing the keys. Wow it does kinda sound like i stole it lol.

Ok so I ended up getting a locksmith to come to me to do it.

Just disabled PATS and made me standard keys.

How much did it cost? What all did he have to do to disable the PATS? I have a keyless Focus sitting in my drive way and its going to run me about 200 to get keys and programming plus a new ignition. I would really like to know how he bypassed the PATS cause I would like to get this done for cheap so I can get this car started and see if it is worth putting anymore money into.

It wasn't any cheaper really. I called him to have him come make new PATS keys for me and started bullshitin with him and told him what I wanted to do and he said he'd disable it for 120 and i bought 4 keys from him. All he had to do was plug in a device to the data port, it took about 15 minutes.
