I'm not splicing. I'm replacing the hole harness. It's not that hard. Disconnect it from the shifter, drop the tank to disconnect and your done.The engine cares not about a harness.
Just reuse your manifolds, EVAP and EGR and you'll not have any issues.
The only sensors that changed were EGR and the TPS, IIRC.
The splice changed mid 2002 from a single to a dual (black/red vs black/purple) to accommodate a couple additional wires. The splice is near the passenger strut tower.
