Hi all,

I've tried searching the forum for this problem and although there are a couple of threads none really give me a good idea of an easy DIY fix.

Basically as the title suggests the rear most exhaust bracket has broken on my fiances mk2 focus, 1.6 petrol. I've undertaken a basic DIY fix to keep it right but really want to do more of a proper fix if anyone can point me in the right direction?

Have it welded. Shouldn't be that expensive.

Having it welded shouldn't be that expensive, but if it's going to be a little bit of time before you can get it done you may be able to tie it up with wire. I had 2 hangers brake on my MK1, the 2 rear most. I did have them welded, but I also wire tied the tail pipe up to take a little extra stress off of them.

I was JUST going to tie it because my car is not one worth putting ANY money in to. haha

Thanks to you all for your replies it looks like welding is the best way to go. It'd in for an MOT at the weekend so I'll see if we can get it done at the same time!
