Well, if you're looking for new mirror, try www.foussalvage.com.
I think you can get a used one cheap enough that I wouldn't mess with trying to fix that one.
You should do what I did, and sell the car. I ripped the driver's side mirror off parking my car in the garage, went to a ford dealership, and drove off with an 06 Fusion
Seriously though, you might consider a set of aftermarket mirrors; they're going to be cheaper than the actual ford mirrors.
I backed into a gate with mine. Brand new mirror from Ford and the inside adjustments switch, because I lost it, were $50 all together. Although my mirror was manual and not powered. Install was easy, I did it myself.
