Breather Hose Question.

My brother bought a cone filter and made a ghetto SRI, but we didn't know what to do with the breather hose so we just left the bottom of the stock airbox in there and kept the breather hose connected to it. Is this safe, I am not even sure what the breather hose does?

i've seen some people with tubes running to a small filter for the breather hose. i don't see a posing problem with it, but i really can't say for sure.

yeah, you can get a little filter from an auto parts store, advance auto or another, just called a breather valve filter
