so today i found out that my rear drums are basically completely useless. i can practically push the car when the e-brake is on. anyways, i'm wondering how much this is going to cost me and what exactly inside the drum needs to be fixed. i'm assuming if i go to a dealer it's going to cost me a fortune so i'm probably gonna go to a speedy or something.

are you sure the drums are the reason for the Ebrake failure? check the adustment of the E-Brake, there is a How-To thread on here on how to tighten the adjustment, worst comes to worst save up some money and do the SVT swap, it's only 900 bucks or so for 4 wheel disk brakes.

i would have considered the svt swap but i just had the front rotors and pad replaced and shelled out 900 bucks together for some other things in the beginning of the summer and don't really want to drop another 900 to replace a few brand new parts on my car.
