I'm getting frustrated. So I'm going on vacation monday and my brake lights decided to quit working. I've searched and searched for a answer and everything I found I have tried.
I tried
-checking hatch wires for wires hanging out
-replacing bulbs in the strip light and two tail lights
-turn signal switch assembly
-fuses

I've been really busy working so I didn't have time to put in the headlights but I had silverstar ultras put in and the day after I was told my brake lights didn't work. Well the strip light worked but no other one did. Now the strip lights stays on and won't go off. Turn signals work, Running lights work, Headlights, fogs, marker. everything. I am clueless any additional help I would a appreciate. The car is a 01 zx3.

There is a simple plunger type switch attached to the brake pedal bracket. Have a look there for a stuck switch or disconnected wiring connector.
