In the uk auto parts dealers don’t supply the top hose from inter cooler for my 1.6 tdci 2014 focus. And at the moment ford dealerships are all closed. So I’ve patched it up with glue and a inner tube and amalgamating tape lol and it works for now.
So the pipe is thicker on both ends then narrows in the middle, if I made a hose could it be the same thickness throughout or if I made it bigger in the middle would it hold more boost? Any ideas on this?

If by 'hold more boost' you mean more PSI, no there won't be a difference.

In general, a larger diameter pipe will not provide any benefits unless you have a turbo big enough to take advantage of the extra room. In fact, you may see a very small drop in power that's unnoticeable in all cases except dyno runs.

Thanks for the reply, it’s holding for now but may get a new pipe when fords open back up. Can you just get a bigger turbo for these?

I'm not sure, we don't have the TDI version of the focus in North America so all the development for that specific motor is all overseas.
