What if you could have a variable speed on your blower motor instead of just the 4 settings there are. Does anyone think you could change it to a potentiometer? Just an Idea i think would be cool.[idea]

Problem is that you'd need a BIG ASS Potentiometer to control it...

the current setup, as common on ALL cars I'm familiar with, uses the switch to change between BIG ASS resistors - SO large they need to be cooled by the air flowing through the HVAC system.....

Haven't seen a "POT" large enough to do the job.....

SURE they exist, but it's cheaper & easier to control resistors with a switch than try to cool a LARGE Pot.....

If you are really into electronics, you could use a motor controller for an electrical model airplane, they will handle this without any problems, and then buy a servo tester, this is a device that can control the out put of this controller, both devices together has the size of half a sigatette pack.
