hi all i got 90bhp 02 reg ford focus when driving around in daylight low rev i don't see no smoke i do see a bit in headlight of cars behind me when waiting at lights at night nothing to bad but when i drive around in the day and put my foot down in first and second gear just after the turbo kicks in i get a puff of jet black smoke i don't seem to get it in 3rd 4th and 5th gear now the two hose's that lead to the intercooler as black oil in which leads me to believe it may be the turbo but there are no wines or lack in power if anything it seems to fast lol any help would be a great help

Diesel black smoke is unburned diesel fuel. We don't know a lot about the 4 banger diesels they have there in the UK because they where never offered here in the states. It could be a fuel quality issue, an exhaust aftertreatment issue, an EGR issue.... the list is kinda long....
