Hey guys. Let me know if I'm stupid for asking this, but is it possible to drop a smaller V6 in a 2004? Has anybody done it before? Just asking out of curiosity, and for future reference. Again if its a stupid question let me know nicely lol.

It's been done before, but its not easy (understatement) and not cheap.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. I knew it would be extremely hard to do and expensive, just wanted an idea if it was done and exactly how expensive.

Moved to "Engine & Transmission Swap". That always ponders to thought that if you have to ask how much, it's more than likely you will cringe at the cost of it.

Simple answer:

install a turbo.

+more hp/tq
+cheaper
+easier to install
+readily available
+lighter weight


Sure, a v6 install is more unique, but who really cares when the hood is closed.

That's what I've been planning on, Viper. I've been doing my research on them and that's the route I plan to go. People laugh at me for wanting to turbo a 2.3L I4 wagon, but I'll be the one laughing when I beat their 1/4 mi time lol.
