I'm looking at replacing the read hubs on my son's 2012 focus S. It's rear drums with ABS and no parking assist. What would be the best brand from rockauto? He is about to drive across the country and they are a little noisey. Vehicle has 97k miles. I don't mind paying the higher prices but I've heard moog has gone downhill, might as well get timken, etc. What is good high quality? I don't want to be doing this again in 30k miles.

Try to figure out from the parts price what the bearing cost itself roughly is, The $25 bearings are junk and you are looking at closer to $50 to get a good bearing that will last if it is installed right.

I say because most of the bearing makers have a value priced part and then the better quality part and the value ones are the ones that commonly cause trouble. Some don't even have any grease inside them to fail quick.

Timken are fine but they DO have a low price line coming from China. Beware.

BEWARE OF THE BOX! They constantly switch the bearings in boxes and I myself did hundreds of them. Go by the bearing itself.

The two brands mentioned as well as Bowers, BCA, Fafnir, FMC can be good. Be guided by the price like said.
