Hi,
I'm new and recently bought an 03' zx3 for zipping around town. Any advice for the best and most reasonably priced way to upgrade the focus coupe w/turbo etc. is appreciated. I didn't realize how much fun this car is to Drive! Currently have a K&N filter and flash programmer, but need a lot more performance for this hobby car.

Toms Tune, STS, TB, rear engine mount, HFC or ORP... Best thing would be FI

Edit: NVM you dont have an svt... Or do you?

x2 for the first poster...those are the most common/ best gain mods without totally busting your wallet...a lot of the other stuff is a total waste of money...i know i spent it!

i would get tom's tune first, he'll update the tune as you mod your focus!

volant intake, borla exhaust, svt header and flex. svt susp. and you will love the thing. but mind you it will never be a "fast car" unless you are will to drop a ton of money in to it or go FI

Toms tune is 450 bucks for a remote tune and you also have to have data logging capability and a wideband air/fuel gauge!! so right around 1k for everything!!

It depends on what part of performance you mean. Are you a handling person or a power junkie? It'd really help everyone giving you ideas.

just remember, for any real power, you will pay a crap load of money, but for suspension, you can get a killer setup for like 500 bucks. u wil need tires though

If your into the performance and dont wanna spend the money for a turbo and have a non svt zetec, get a tune, the SVT header and an exhaust. Will be fun for a while until you get bored and want more power, lol.

for 1000 bucks, you can get the FR setup for 500 bucks, and its arguably the best setup available and super sticky tires like BF good rich or goodyear. the svt header setup and a tune will cost you 1500 cause you will need the gauges!! and it will only get you 15 whp!!
