Does anyone know if the 15" Bassett D wheels will clear the front SVT calipers? I know most 15" wheels won't fit,but I do have some 15" that will (so it's not impossible) but they are not wide enough for my use,and Bassett can't tell me if their wheels will clear and no returns on them as they are custom built. I saw some photos recently on FF of a Focus with the Bassett wheels installed,but could not tell if it was an SVTF. Thanks for any help.

diamond racing wheels 15x10" fit with a little grinding or a 5mm spacer.

if you are thinking about that yellow car on bassets, i don't think he had SVT brakes.

Yea, that's the width,10". I can't/won't run spacers (illegal in my race club) so how much grinding needs to be done? 1/8"? Hate to grind them,but I am going to run a shorter tire this year (23" tall..275/35/15") instead of the 295/40/17" tires I have been using (on 17x10" Centerlines)and I really don't want to spring $500/each for Keizers,plus I have found the alu wheels that are lug centric don't hold up well for me.
It looks like Diamond makes a few models.. the SS would be the wheel of choice for me,unless it won't fit. Is that what you are running? Thanks for the response. Mark

thats how much grinding. and bent those little brake pad tabs away.

however, when i put new pads in, i wasnt comfortable with how much more i would have needed to grind.

can you redrill hubs? it would be so much easier with 4x100.

or here's a thought, can you weld a steel spacer to the wheel. that way its not a spacer, its part of the wheel construction....

thenorm,thanks for the response,but the calipers in your picture are regular base Focus calipers, as the SVTF caliper uses pads that do not incorporate any wire retainer.(plus,that is the dinky rotor) The SVTF caliper uses a stand alone wire clip like the 2005-up Focus caliper(although they are not the same caliper) I may order one wheel in my specs and see if they fit. I did contact Diamond,and they sent me a formula to measure the caliper to hub for clearance to the wheel..,but I'll be damned if I can figure it out...
I run special billet hubs,so no modding to them,ever. Besides, wheels in the 4x100 bolt pattern are no easier to find in a 10" wide wheel..(as in custom built only).

i think you're right about the caliper but i also had the wheels over SVT brakes. looking back through my posts i found that for SVT no modification needed.

theres lots of 4x100 wide wheels, its miata fitment.
i run 949 racing 6UL 15x10, and there is koenig "Dial in" and Avanti racing S1. those are in 15x9 but they will fit the 275 hoosiers just fine.

the norm, thanks for the info. I'm going to buy one Diamond 15x10 and if that fits reasonably,I'll buy more. Because I am road racing on 275/295 width tires with much offset, I run custom billet hubs in 4x108 (stock hubs break too easily) Adapting everything to 4x100 would mean new hubs and drilling rotors,so easier to keep my car "stock". From what you have posted,I believe the Diamond wheels will work fine. Mark

For anyone interested,the Diamond 15"x10" wheel fits the SVTF brakes with no grinding or shims needed. I am having them build 3 more and can now retire my 17" wheels.Good people to work with. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
