I forgot to post his in here last week so here it is:

Guys beware of buying trubendz exhaust. i ordered the tubing in 2.5 inch and it required alot of modification from a local muffler shop to be welded in. They had to cut and test fit,cut and test fit, over and over until they got it to the correct fitment. The bends were off a little also so they just had to make it work for me.

I would NOT recommend purchasing a exhaust from trubendz.

Yeah I thought you meant like what they were doing in Oakland. Them tips go WOOOO WOOOOOOO! The fact that somebody sells something that bolts into the exhaust that makes it sound "sorta" like you got a turbo is still pretty much weak sauce.

But I guess different strokes for different folks..........

lol, why? personally I would spend that 7 bucks on a 6pack of red and white dynamite. I had an exhaust leak on my 92' ranger that "sorta" made it sound like it had a turbo for a while but that was free[:I] I'm just jerking your chain[poke] if you like it, DO IT!

Go to YouTube and search it. The one I got came from Ebay from a link off of the youtube video I saw of it.The car backs up then practically floors it away. Sounds pretty cool :p

Have you guys ever heard of a "silencer"? From what the local Ricer guys tell me, all it is is a simple piece you screw (either into or onto) the end of your tailpipe, and it's supposed to quiet it down. It's supposed to (obviously) be a lot easier and faster than having to put a resonator on.

Ever heard of this? Do they make ones that will fit the FSWerks Race Exhaust?

If so, I wonder what a Race Header + Race Exhaust + Silencer would sound like?

Some muffler/tips like the n-1 style mufflers have a silencer that comes with them that is held into the end of the muffler with a small bolt. that is what they are talking about more than likely

I had a custom 3in straight pipe on my turbo corolla. the megan racing muffler came with a silencer, without it, my car would give you a headache at highway speeds. With it, my car was not much louder than stock, i was able to have conversations and hear the radio while on the highway. Import Tuner did a test and found that silencers don't drop power (in lower power NA applications like the miata they tested)

Magnaflow Low End Torque Loss for 2.3L

While looking for a cat back for the 2004 2.3L Duratec, I ran across this dyno plot for the magnaflow on the 2.3L.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/dynos/15682.jpg

Looks to me like they lost some significant tuning under 4000. Has anyone run this system? Can you notice the loss.

I have an automatic, which, yes, I know, I'd rather have a manual, but which would definitely suffer from the loss at the low end.

Any thoughts? A better cat back for the 2.3L? Thanks.
