:::::DONE:::::

Now did i make any mistakes or have any misinformation? I would also like for someone to put together a basic list of prices to combine with the DIY kits that we could all use, one with the GT28RS, the SPA Turbo, and the T3 S60 STGIII for TGT (Focus-Power) as well as intercooler and other things for the CFM's... i think this should help... im just tired... DOES THIS HELP ANYONE?!?!??!?!? SUGGESTIONS, differences from all of you who have these kits and would like to add things either not stated on the website's or things you learned the hard way... something INFORMATIVE.... =D

hmmmm i think everyone should know a clutch/flywheel/lsd is necessary with all this, as well as probably a Wideband, Pyrometer, Boost, B-A-P, and J&S Knock Retard are good ideas.... just fyi because im fairly positive none of these include this stuff except the xios that gives you just a boost gauge for the zetec...

alright! zoom zoom[driving] time to fire it up! [gunfire]

Good info on the kits its nice to see them side by side.
LETS NOT FILL THIS THREAD WITH BS PLEASE

Our site is under a complete redesign, so there is a lack of info on our kit up there.

COMMERCIAL LINK REMOVED

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Topseed you need to become a sponsor and pay just like everyone else to be here if he is going to promote his kit and help support FF , that being said I will start with the top speed kit as it is first in the list

Top speed kit
Pros , Pricing

Cons
Over engineered Turbo manifold
You have to replace the stock fans with after market
To many bends in the psi piping
MAF is a little close to the TB bend
Looks (could be wrong) to have to relocate the Batt
Turbo in kit dynoed is a little big for the Avg Foci owner (easy to change)
Not enough tuning time with the Focus to release tuning (easy to get tuning tho)
I understand this is there first atemp on the Focus and with a few things changed would be a competitive kit

Xios (ZX3)
Pros ,none

Cons
In my opinion wouldnt do this kit if it was given to me just to many issues and dont like turbos placed behind the engine for to many reasons to go into

Xios (SVT)
Pros, spools quick and could make a good street kit
Complete kit

Cons
Over engineered manifold
No blowthrough
You have to replace the stock fans with aftermarket
Piping from turbo roughted EXTREMELY close to turbo and down pipe causing excessive heat in enitial psi pipe to IC
Dont like internal waste gates

Focus-power and C-F-M will be next

where do you get 100 dolars for a return line on the turbo maybe 50 that how much i spent and its all -10 An fitting
You only need the J&S on the SVT and you can get the 180 thurmostat at the local parts store for a 96 contour Zetec DOHC

Tom
where do you get 100 dolars for a return line on the turbo maybe 50 that how much i spent and its all -10 An fitting
huh? i meant for all the miscellaenous... not just return line...

yeah, those prices are simply those where someone can get all parts online

did i forget anything?, ill try to do one on CFM, but im not sure because of the downpipe, im not sure how much they will make it cost, or if it will be included...
Here is a picture of our NEW Downpipe.

I will post more information later this week.
can you guys fabricate a good downpipe for Roush turbo kit?
Fast Tuner, how much will the downpipe cost do you think? and Will it be a part of your DIY kit? Trying to get an estimation for everyone...
hmmm would we be able to get an estimated ETA from CFM or TOM on possible completion dates?
I will be doing all the fitment of my DIY kit this week , I have one last thing to finish and thats the SPA adaptor for the WG

Tom
awesome i cant wait to see the pictures and everything! =D very exciting news!
I dont see how a manifold can be over-engineered. The only con to over-engineering is pricing, and its not really an issue with the top speed kit because its relatively cheap.

Its not the end of the world to replace the stock fans to get that extra HP?

I mean is there some gap in my logic here? Your input is welcomed Tom im just trying to understand what you mean here, not flaming.
We have gone and gone and gone over this already , You do what ever works for you in your Focus , If the top speed kit is it then be happy and install it , in the end it comes down to the guy wanting a kit has to make the choise

I gave my thoughts of the kit and stand behind them not from opinions like everyone else that has talked about these kits but from being there and doing it , Building 1 turbo kit for a car does not make a good kit , there has to be testing and dyno time and more testing and this hasent been done with most kits out there ,

Tom
A wise man once said, You dont buy parts to fit a turbokit, you build a turbokit to fit the car.

That said, I'm not liking the current options... But my desires for my build are probably far different from most users'.
