Does anyone know if you are able to hook up subs to the stock 6 cd mp3 cd player in a 2005 ST, being that there isnt any rca jacks to hook the subs up to.

Which will usually introduce a lot of noise and are generally best to avoid.installman said:Most of todays decent amps have high level in so a convertor is not needed.
Note the word "decent". I can use the built in convertor on any Audison amp for subs as well as highs and get zero noise. When it comes to subs, what noise are you going to hear??DetroitBass said:Which will usually introduce a lot of noise and are generally best to avoid.
Get a good LOC, as suggested. PAC makes a nice one with adjustable gain on it.
Is this true for my basic system too? I have a Solo Baric sitting around, I'd prefer to just hook it up without replacing the CD player.Foci_Fosho said:you need a Line Output Convertor.
$10-$30.
Hook up 2 speaker channels to the LOC, then RCA cables to the amp.
BTW, this is going to Car Audio forum...
if by basic, you mean stock CD player... then Yes...jmccoy said:Is this true for my basic system too? I have a Solo Baric sitting around, I'd prefer to just hook it up without replacing the CD player.
