i have 2001 Automatic ZETEC ZX3. I want to swap a manual in it, cause my ATX went out. Which tranny will fit mine? like from what models of focuses? and years

Any zetec manual trans will fit. I was told that the duratec trans has a different bell houseing. As mike at hilbish ford about this, he's done this with his eye's closed.

If the bellhousings were the same it would fit. ;) Other than that, I have not the foggiest.

you also have to check the axle spline

and you have to check the shift cable orientation and mounting.

i doubt it would fit

i would say it would fit... i mean cmon. a lot of automakers use the same parts on different vehicles to cut costs.

theres one at my yard now, but it was auto. engine looked the same minus the vct.

will it bolt on? I dont see why not.

but, will the shifter cables be the same? its kinda iffy, but my magic 8ball says yes hahaha.

Well as long as it's the MTX-75, which some contours, and cougars had, I think it should work. Shift cable is another story.

Anyway, does know if it's possible to do this kinda swap in a sedan?
