are you sure there is that much in the pan? That sounds like thats everything.

Yes. Click ^^^ 6.9 quarts up there and it will take you to the owner's manual. Go to fluid capaciteies and you will see. Total refill is like 13 quarts or something like that. Remember there is still ike 7 quarts or so that is not going to drain just by dropping the pan.

Hmm. I should have mentioned mune is a 2000 SE zetec. Ended up being 6.9 for a compete change for the drain and do the filter it is 3.1. I actually over filled by a quart. I have a vacuum pump and I'll take it out in the morning. I was working on my mustang at the same time. I I didnt catch it.

I fininshed pulling the level down a quart. Its all good now.
