It's a stock piece. It goes on the inside and holds the lock cylinder.

That thing is a PITA.

You're better off going to the JY and pulling that, the rods, the rod cover, and the door latch at one entire assembly. I had to change mine at least 3 times, and if you put the rods in incorrectly, when you unlock the door, you can't open it from the outside. But after it's been opened from the outside you can open the door normally. Til you lock it again.

last summer my door got stuck from someone pulling it while it was being unlocked i fixed it then but after my power locks havent worked on the pasenger side door :(

It's the latch then. The lock solenoid is built into the door latch.
