I want to get a little more power out of my ST any one know what the 2.5 Borla will give?
I also want to know if it makes it sound like a burner?

You'll gain like 5-7hp from the borla. Everyone around here seems to love the Borla sound, but i've personally heard it in person and with a header, original cat in place, and an added resonator it definitley still sounded like a burner(it had an acute, piercing sound to it). But if you don't mind it too much, go for it.

Here is my Focussport sport system with a header and it's not that bad... and you'll gain about the same with this exhaust system.

Mine sounds fine, not ricey at all to me..not loud at all.

I <3 my borla.

I have the flex back version.

So no second cat, just the resonator then muffler.

It's loud, but not tinny.

I always got compliments with mine when I had the Cosworth race header on, even though it was pretty loud. Now, with the turbo, it sounds amazing! I love how it sounds, and loved how it sounded before I had the header too. I have the Borla flex-back as well. [thumb]

no complaints about my borla! I love it, deep and moderately loud but no "burner" sound. Don't know what it would by like on your 2.3 d but I wouldnt think it would be that much different.
