Can someone tell me what the antenna in the front windshield is for? I am guessing the gps but have no idea

unless he has the automatic rain sensing wipers sensor unit...the big bulky black thing in front of the rearview mirror.

I am talking about a small black box in the upper right of the passenger area that and has 2 antennas coming out of it, 1 to the right and 1 to the left.
