So back end of August i checked with Ford Credit and got the preapproval amount of $25,000 which was fine
I ordered a car, and waiting and the one month of preapproval ends. So I do another but this time they only preapprove $20,000. WTF?
Nothing changed.
Called them and they are like: Talk to the dealer".
Well isn't the preapproval so it is already done?
It probably is not a big deal, but just annoying. [like]

Part of the problem is the time between inquires. If you have multiple hard inquiries at the same time (within a month or so) and then you buy the car then it says to the credit bureaus that you were shopping for a competitive rate, but if you only have one hard pull and then wait a month or more between incidents then it can lower the credit score used to judge the approval level.
