Well, after 60,000km on my car... 100km after my warranty expired... my Alternator goes.

I go to the ford parts dept. and they are wanting about $600CDn for the replacement, and with a crappy warranty attached too.

So i started looking for after market ones... and can't find any.

So here is my question: will 00-04 Zetec models fit with my 2005 ZXW SE?

Get a re-built one. Almost any auto parts store will have it or can get it. Don't get a used one, you never know what its been though. Good luck

Different motors from 05. I don't think that it will work. Check autoparts web sites
and see if they have the same model numbers for the alternator.

And thats retail! I paid $279.99 CDN for my SVT alternator. And today, $140.00 for my wiper motor. My discout isnt even that big, so shop around.

Is that $600 with labor included? If it is, then it is possible it would be around that much.

I had my alternator replaced in my Jeep at Big-O Tires and it ran about $400 installed.

problem is, i can find a 00-04 with out any trouble.

05, none of the part shops have anything listed.

I managed to find a place that will rebuild mine, but still a pain in the but.

It was just wishful thinking that a 04 module would fit []
