The car is a 2001 Zetec Wagon

My alternator seems to be clicking when car is running. Its worse when accessories are on (headlight, AC....)

I have a volt gauge and it reads 14-15 volts when car is running witch tells me that it is charging. It drops when accessories are first turned on but thats normal.

Is the bearing in the alternator going? anyone ever experience this? The alternator has gone in previous cars but they've never made this sound.

Any help would be great cuz i cant find sh!t on google.

I would prepare to replace the Alt soon. Not an easy undertaking for the do it yourselfer even though there are people on here that have done one a million times and can do it in their sleep. Not a cheap repair if you send it out to be done either.

What you are hearing are relays switching on and off. It is normal. Just to be sure go have the electrical(batt and alt.)checked out at your local auto parts store. It is free. Voltage drop is normal when the accessories are on. If it falls below 13.2v you might have an issue.

Your defroster will trip a relay as well if it is on. This too is normal.
