1st....WELCOME to FF !!!

Yours is a difficult question to answer. The impact sensing system on ALL cars, is complex.

If you trip more than one sensor, then the question becomes more complicated than just "which single sensor"...

Chances are that you will need to reflash the ECUand replace one or more sensors to return the car to its orignal "sensing" capacity.

Chances are that you will never have to repeat this unfortunate incident, but at the same time, I would not tackle this on your own without the requisite training.

Spend the money and have a professional do it.

hmm that's an intersting problem..... so if I were to part out a wrecked SVT in which it's airbags were deployed, and took the ecu with me...I'd probably have to get it reflashed to clear the airbags deployed code?

IIRC, the side airbag sensor is in the rocker panel.
Pull off the rocker guard sill plate, and see if anything is underneath it.
Otherwise, it may be under the car in the rocker panel.

These are the parts you'll need to replace:
1) New side airbag in the seat.
2) Side airbag sensor.
3) Seat belt pre-tensioner.
^^^NOTE: This is a MUST. If the airbag went off, it will automatically deploy the tensioner.
If you don't replace it, the system will show a fault, and you'll never get the light to turn off.
I'd just replace the whole assembly that bolts to the side of the seat, as the pretensioner is part of that assembly.
4) Once the new components are installed, you may or may not have the light.
If you do, the Dealer will need to reset it.
If you don't, you're good to go and the system is safe.

Sorry about that.
When you said "passenger side airbag" I assumed side airbag, not the passenger side front airbag.
The sensors for that airbag are somewhere behind the front bumper panel,
and will have to be replaced.
With any luck, maybe you can get a printout (exploded view) from your local Dealer that will show the location.

It's most likely not fine.
Trust me...BTDT.
You can replace everything else and reset the light (computer reset),
but the first time you fire up the engine, the light is going to come on again, and stay on.
If an airbag went off on that side it will have fired the small charge in the seat belt tensioner regardless.
What it does is cinch up the belt so there's no slack when the airbag goes off.
Yes, it will function properly, but it will keep setting the airbag light off until you replace it.

The only chance it's OK is if the circuit is setup to not blow the charge if the seatbelt is unbuckled.
But then again, you're not sure if it was buckled or not.

Certainly, you can fix everything else first and reset the computer,
but if the light comes back on, you're going to need a new seat belt tensioner assembly.
They're not that much, and around $30 IIRC.
