Me and my buddy installed one of his spare cold air intakes on my 09 duratec yesterday, and everything went beautifully, it sounds nice when i revved and made a cool whistling sound and everything lol. i changed my oil and then i started my car up to leave, and the car started sputtering and cut off, followed by my check engine light coming on, then followed by the wrench symbol which came on when my throttle body went bad. I immediately replaced the stock intake and both lights eventually cut off, and ideas?!?! And just keep in mind, i am new to all of this, so please be kind

Thanks,
Drew

A pic of the actual setup you did would help us figure out the problem.

The MAF needs to stay in the stock tube because the ECU is calibrated for that diameter pipe. Double check MAF is facing right right direction to the air flow and seated perfectly in the opening.
