Ok, so I just bought a 2.5" by-pass valve for my CAI. Just curious if anyone has one of these. For the people that don't know what I'm talking about, it's connected onto your CAI to prevent your engine from hydro-locking when/if your intake filter becomes submerged or heavily wet with water and/or mud.

Anyways, I didn't know if it robs you of performance, or not. They seem very easy to install, but I didn't know if it robs your or not.

My filter hangs pretty low, you can almost see it from the bottom of my car, if you're standing at the right angle.

Thoughts?
Opinions?

Thanks!

From what I know of them, there's no performance loss. Just the security of no hydrolock. That's coming from a friend who had one on his AEM intake on his Eclipse for a few years.
