I don't actually own the focus listed as mine but am asking on behalf of a friend about her focus. I was recruited to add an auxillary input to her focus after I told her that I was adding one to my nissan pathfinder for around $20. After hours of research I have found that either her radio has an unused port in the back or the port has cables for a XM radio or an aux input that are simply hidden behind her glovebox. I would like to tap into those by doing something similiar to what I plan on doing with my pathfinder (today or tomorrow depending on when parts arrive). She wants to do it cheap so buying a FM modulator or the adapter ford makes to tap into the hidden cables aren't options. If anyone has the tech know how to map out what pins/wires I need to connect to, please share.

If she is looking to keep the stock radio, you will need to get an AUX adapter harness like this one http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=821&CategoryID=24 shows for about $56 on amazon.com maybe less on ebay or other sites. To my knowledge there isn't any hidden cables for an aux jack, as least not in my 06 ZXW that I have found.

If factory looks are not as important, can always go for a replacement head unit, going that way can even get things like bluetooth support for handsfree calling, audio streaming, and whatnot.

Thanks pcordes1979. She wants this done as cheap as possible so a PAC unit isn't an option and neither is a replacement head unit.

I wasn't sure about the hidden cables as I have only seen a few references to them and only on the high end models from that year.
