okay, so I've been lookin around, n i really, really dont have the money for HIDs. i figured in the meantime, i still want that bluish hue (6k or 7k ish, id say 8k but ik that 8k reduces visibility a little too much). my question...where can i buy quality 6k or 7k bulbs? I've heard good things about Philips and Mcculloch bulbs. also, there are many on ebay, are they even worth mentioning or are they just a waste of money? here's a pic for reference, i want either 6k or a little bit above 6k. Hoen-USA.com

their bulbs are at 80w and will match HID color excellently
I've been looking at these as well. Will they need a wiring harness or are they plug and play? Also, do you know if they can output a true crystal white with a 9007 bulb?

Sorry to thread jack, I didn't want to start a new thread over the same subject.

hey! ^^^ i already suggested those, lol.

HERE IS A LINK TO THE NOKYA 7000K ARCTIC WHITE BULBS (in the bulb type you need):

http://www.automotivelightingusa.co...id=362&zenid=708882c7b4b540d14b18a01f4824cab4

edit - here is a link to the same bulbs^ but stock wattage:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Noky...m14QQhashZitem350118071894QQitemZ350118071894

they are like $23.00, order them and be done with it, lol

i have also had good luck w/nokya cosmic white(5000K) and piaa super plasma gt-x(5000K) bulbs - both look like hid and are somewhat bright.

also, did you see the link for the philips bulbs i posted? there are multiple colors/wattages to pick from on ebay... unfortunately, it looks like the are all form outside the U.S.

^wouldn't that of been a good question to ask in the first post? lol - it isn't that great in my opinion, you start to loose a lot of output in halogen bulbs at 7000K.

if you're looking for brightness it would be best to stick in the 3800-5000k range. the most usable light i have found is at 4000K(white)

2500K(yellow) 4000K(white) 5000K(white w/ a little purple) 6000K(light blue) 7000K(blue) >violet

haha ya i guess it wuldve been. ugh, im so torn. love the look of the 7k, but living in VT where i drive mostly unlit dirt roads at night, im thinkin i might need to stick with 6k. i have silverstar ultras right now n they are great for where i drive, but i just want a better look. cant find nokya 6k ones tho on ebay.
