Did anyone else have a difficult time installing the 3 1/2" shorter belt on their 50% UDP? I had a hard time when I first put my UDP on (and thus got one 2.75" shorter).

I just recently sold the UDP to N1TROPT1C, and he says the 2.75" shorter belt I gave him is not gonna fit (I managed to fit it on mines though).

Anyone else have problems with fitment?

To N1TROPT1C: not trying to start anything with you here lol, just asking for other people's experiences[headbang]

Does it come with good instructions? I'm thinking about getting one, but idk if i should or not.

Tools/Equipment:

Jack
Jackstands
Phillips Screwdriver (for splash guards)
3/8 inch breaker bar or a ratchet with 3/8 inch adapter (for sockets)

Car must be jacked up, passenger front wheel and splash guards in wheel well must be removed, and that's about it as far as removing parts.

Yes indeed instructions come with it. I do highly recommend getting a Haynes Manual from Auto Zone, etc. It will come in handy for this install and for future reference. I do have to say unlike the instructions rather than putting the belt around the alternator pulley last, i found it 10000 times easier putting it around all of the pulleys and the Idler pulley last. This is done so that while someone is pulling on the belt tensioner it will put slack to the belt to be put around the idler pulley. (Yes I'd recommend two people, It's hard to pull on the tensioner and fiddle with the belt and a lot safer.) When loosening the crankshaft pulley/OEM UDP brace the ratchet or breaker bar with he tire. Turn the key ever so slightly a few clicks and bring it back to off a few times to loosen the crankshaft. DONT TURN THE KEY ALL THE WAY, THE CAR WILL TURN ON! Otherwise all of the instructions are real easy and do work when done properly. I only have a few pix b/c my tard arse started the project 3 hours before i had work and had to rush. If all the tools and right equipment is used i'd say it takes about an 45 minutes to an hour to assemble. Anymore Q's go ahead and post em'.

^^it's funny though how it's easier fitting the factory belt on the stock pulley, vs the shorter belt on the UDP. I spent close to an hour by myself getting the damn belt on lol.

yes, and that's why I got one that's 2.75" shorter, not 3 1/2" as the instructions that came with the UDP stated. Didn't wanna give it too much slack or else it might've started slipping.
