Looking to tint my windows either 5% or 15 (20)%. 35% is too light and you can see through still. My question is, on the back windows with 15%, can you still see through. Any pics please? Thank you!

Its not a focus, but had my new mazda done, 15% rears and back window, 32% for 2 front windows. Its not that bad at all, you can still see nicely at night, and it cuts down glare from other cars.

Here are 2 pics I have:

On the 15% rears.... can people still see inside during the day when the sun is shining or is it essentially black?

In the bright FL sun, its pretty dark to see in (especially against black interior) You can still see in, but only a silhouette at best I would say.

5% is super dark, you won't be able to see out your windows at night, if you really want to go that dark, i would say 5% rear and 15% in the front.

If your looking to block out the AZ heat, I lived in phx for 3 years and 35% all the way around did just fine for me.

My car has 15% for the back three windows and 50% for the driver/passenger doors. Lots of it depends on the angle you are looking at it and how bright it is outside. You typically cant see in unless you are really trying to. You can still see out at night, although backing up isnt the greatest. I do love the tint when driving at night, no more being blinded by people in trucks/suv's.

Here is the car in direct sunlight with a windshield sunscreen on

Lots of reflection:

Reflection but you can still see through it

i have 2.5% up in front and 5% in the rear and i cannot see a damn thing at night.even with all the casino lights on. it looks good but you sacrifice safety and visibility. 20-35% up front mos def.

Who cares if you can still see in? Cars look better that way, anyway. Go 35%.

If not, 20%. That's too dark at night, in my opinion, though.

Haha why does my 35% look so much darker than everyone elses?
It's more to do with the angle of the sun and what's on the other side of the windows... I can see your steering wheel and passenger A-pillar just fine.

All the pics above where you can see through the 15% and 20% tints are due to direct sunlight hitting something on the other side of the window... in reality, they are very dark, and downright challenging to see through at night.

CamoCustom's Mazda pics are much more accurate in average light conditions. Realistically, 35% is all you really need to get some privacy, good UV protection, and maintain some ability to see at night.

Ford..
I have a light interior.. plus I shot the car with a very bright background.
It has alot to do with the angle and everything like that.
It was tested at 20% by the DPS

BTW: the window was down at the gas station
