I found a used trans with 20,000 miles on it for cheap. Part number is 5M5R-7002-AA1 and I could not find any information on it. The person I got it from said it was for a 2005 Ford Focus (may have been a protoype trans for the ST). The car I drive is a 2005 Ford Focus ST. The part number for the trans in my car from the factory is 4S4Z-7002-NA. The question that I have is will it swap for the one in my car, and could I put an MTX 75 LSD in it before the swap?

ST used the same MTX-75 as every other duratec Focus (until the current '12-'15 one).

"prototype trans" sounds like a tall tale. Does it LOOK like yours?
