That is good.

Thats over 180,000 miles right?
That is good for no problems my Focus starting playing up after a month from Brand New but I love the thing and got it fixed for free with no more problems since then so I am happy customer.

(The car is actually of european origin built firstly in europe in 1998 and problary why were lucky enough to get access to the new generations first. Explains why one member said it's just an American Badge.)

American cars are reliable when you keep up with the maintenance, but they require more maintenance in the end. Id like to know how much money you've dumped into your Focus over the past 300k miles.

You should submit that to MyFord Magazine...i bet you'd be a shoe in. I see some kid in there that got a ranger from his ol man and turned it 500k w/ just basic automotive maintenance. Pretty cool. Keep us posted on how long she lasts. I have a spi, zetec, and zetec svt....so i'm curious to see how long they can hold their own.
currently 80k spi, 127k zetec, 40k svt.
KEEP ON ROLLIN! !
That's just what I was gong to say.
Your story is exactly the kind that they like to write up. And the fact that you use all Ford parts is a plus. They would be all over this!

Well if he did 300k in 2,557 days (7 years,) thats 117.325 miles/per day. Since his first post, its been another 1,120 days. So in theory he could have amassed another 131,404 miles, assuming the car is still driven the same (and alive!)

That would put the odometer at 431,404 miles [:)]
(assuming my math is correct lol)

I see there are more of us out there! My '04 SVT is now sitting at 309,000 and running like a champ. Just the normal SVT problems like thermostat housing, valve cover gasket, etc. Uses no oil between changes. Got to change my oil pan gasket soon though. Got a little leak.

Just because someone bumped this thread, 300,000 is more than 0 and is therefore cooler.

I was so pumped up to take a photo of the 333,333 (odometer A) and 333.3 (odometer B). 8 miles before hitting the mark, a deer crossed and I was at 45mph. Confused. Fortunately, I made it but I have to call insurance. Will post the photo shortly

I am going to do the same here shortly, except knock 300,000 miles off of that number.

High mileage can be had with a little care and luck. I just bought my 01 ZX3 6 months ago so it just now jumped over 100,000. Fixed all the little things and replaced the timing belt and water pump just because.

BUT, my other car...1991 Escort with the 1.9 has 435,002 miles on it. Original motor went to 385,000 before a cracked plastic radiator tank and a faulty temp sender caused it to overheat and blow a head gasket. Took the old motor apart and were amazed! It was clean! Still had crosshatching and a barely discernible ring ridge, bearings were fine. The big problem was the gaskets were falling apart. I dropped a junkyard motor in and rebuilt the original. As soon as the replacement acts up I will swap them.

I do pizza delivery and hit about 3000 miles every 6 weeks!
