If your check engine light is on, you ARE throwing a code, so if you stated you had a CEL, I can see where their confusion lies.
Putting on the UDP would not throw a code however. even if the battery wasn't unplugged unless you damaged the crank position sensor when putting on the pulley. I don't know if this is possible or where this sensor is located though, it's just a guess based on the available information. An O2 sensor would throw a code too. If you know it is suspect. Your best bet is to find out what the code is.
ok ima jack this thread for a minute to ask what is better 25 or 50 percent pully, i think i may get one, and escortfocus.com has both for 100 bucks, and says 50precnt can give ya 10-12 hp and the 25 gives and 6-8? but i dont want my altenator to not charge right, which is better?

i think the sohrt ram intake i got with it had an air leak, that cub that goes over tb musta been leaking or it was the shitty corkboard i got from wallys didnt hold up, semmed like most of it just peeled right off, you got auto or stick slim? and how is your park and nuetral rpms?
