Will this work or will a 215/40/17 tire be better on 7.5 rim. Wheels are 17x7.5 Slipstreams with a 40ET. FFRP kit on the ST so I'm worried about the rub, hence not going the standard 215/45/17 tire. Just concerned the 205/45/17 tire might not be big enough for the rim, even though most manufactures say it's ok to run them on a 7.5 rim. Pics of both would be great.
Thanks

I can get pics up later...I have 17x7.5 in. wheels and 205/45/17 tires. The tires fit fine but look a little stretched... I wouldn't be afraid to go 215.

You could away's go to the tire shop & have them mount up the different size's for your rubbing concern's.

I have 215/40s on a 7.5, E45 and I wouldn't go any less IMO. Mine are 18s, 17s will be fine. It's a perfect look.

I didn't take these pics but this is my wheels and tires.

I'm just concerned about rubbage with a 215/45/17 with an FFRP kit and a e40 offset & 7.5 width

As you should be.

215/40 would work, so would the 205/45

The 215 will give you more fender to tire gap, the 205 will be just barely stretched and might even give you more contact patch.
