My first post. Hello everyone. Im Mark.

I’m asking for a friend. She has a 2014 Focus with 124k miles. It won’t go into reverse. She had it towed. The mechanic said the car needs a new clutch actuator B location or something for automatic transmission. Do you guys have experience with this problem? Would it fix it? Thanks.

Or does it need a new transmission?

There are a pile of threads in here on the DCT transmission, look also in the Mk3 Focus section. It's not surprising.

My focus did something similar before I'd even made my first payment on it. New clutch forks, new transmission control module, actuator, etc etc. This might be covered under one of the special service campaigns, it's worth checking.
