Hey, i have a 2014 ST and i want it to have a little more sound to it. I was thinking of just doing a cat delete but not sure if the computer will loke that idea. Wondering if anyone has done this or does not suggest doing it for sound or computer issues. I ask becuase my 89 5.0L gets really noisey when i take off the cats ( granted its a superchargd V8 with 4 cats ) but i wanna know what kt will do to mu ST.
Cheers

The car won't like it if you delete the cats and will throw codes and not run quite right, especially if not tuned for it.

If you're like me and ballin' on a budget, look into doing a resonator delete or a muffler delete. I did a res delete and it essentially made it a little louder and slightly raspier. It basically magnifies the stock tone, IMO. A muffler delete will make it louder but not as raspy. Both sound pretty good for keeping the stock system.

I plan on getting an MBRP downpipe and connecting it to the stock system, then an MBRP catback sometime in the future.

But like Suss said, don't mess with the cats (especially without a tune).

Here ya go!
(not my vid, btw)

It's just a deeper more "gurgly" sound, just how he describes. This is the most accurate video out there for comparison, IMO.

Great find on the video, thanks. Just what I like when tryin to decide what to do by having both together at same time.
Same here. There are tons of individual videos but they are all different sound qualities, etc. This is the vid that id it for me as well. Enjoy!

Thinking of doing this. Need to find a good exhaust tip to use.

Have you considered bypassing the "sound symposer"? Just connect both tubes together, bypassing the valve entirely, and it'll be louder in the cabin at all times.
