My 2013 focus se is overheating because the cooling fan wont work. I can power the fan at the connector and power the module and the fan will start. A repair shop told me the active shutters will not operate and that will stop the cooling fan from working. I have been reading on here people have disabled/removed them and haven't read that they have had cooling fan problem after removal. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks

interesting. so are the shutters broke or does the car think it's really cold outside. temp sensors? MAF?

Post your fix when you figure it out.

Not sure. The shutters wouldn't respond but the gauge showed it was overheating. Hit a deer, car totaled. Problem solved. It was a fun car but way to many problems with it
